Mrs. Carrotís Advice Column

Dear Mrs. Carrot,

Iím a Peruvian guinea pig. As you already know, that means that Iím longhaired. My long, black hair is always tangled up.  Sometimes it even gets tangled up in my brotherís hair! That makes him furious. What can I do?

Yours Truly,

Tangled Hair

Dear Tangled Hair,

I know how you feel. My sister is a Peruvian, just like you. Her hair often got tangled up with mine, and that made me angry. That stopped happening when my mother put hair wraps in her hair. Theyíre very easy to make. Hereís what you do:

Take some paper towel, soft cotton cloth, or freezer paper and fold it in thirds lengthwise. Next, comb your hair and place it in the center of the wrap. Then, fold the outer sides over your hair. Fasten it with a rubber band (this could hurt if the wrap is too close to your skin). Only fasten it after you have folded it 3 or 4 times widthwise. You will need about 5 or 6 hair wraps that should be replaced ever 2 to 4 days.

Mrs. Carrot

Dear Mrs. Carrot,

I've always wanted to be an advice columnist, just like you. The only problem is that I'm not that good at writing.  How can I improve my writing and become an advice columnist?

Troubled Writer

Dear Troubled Writer,

It takes a lot of hard work to become an advice columnist.  I would suggest starting with helping your friends with their problems, so you'll get better at answering other guinea pig's questions.

It's easy to improve your writing.  Read more books, learn new words, and pay more attention in English class.  Once you do all of these things, you will become a much better writer.

Good Luck,

Mrs. Carrot
